We are seeking a passionate and creative Communications and Social Media Manager to join our team and help us elevate our brand, expand our reach, and connect with more food lovers.

Position Overview

As our Communications and Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for managing and creating content for all of Off The Eaten Path’s social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and our email newsletters. You will develop and execute creative strategies to engage our online community, grow our following, and keep our brand presence active. Your goal is to enhance our brand voice, build audience engagement, and deliver consistent, impactful messaging across all channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management: Create, curate, and schedule engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms to keep our social media accounts active and aligned with our brand’s voice and mission.
  • Content Creation: Develop visual and written content, including photos, graphics, captions, and video reels. Tell compelling stories about local food culture, our partners, and upcoming events.
  • Community Engagement: Interact with followers, respond to comments and messages, and cultivate a positive and engaging online community. Monitor feedback, track trends, and optimize content for engagement.
  • Communications: Manage and craft email newsletters to our audience, partners, and subscribers. Ensure brand consistency and clear communication in all outreach.
  • Project Development: Develop creative ideas and campaigns for social media projects that align with our brand’s goals. Pitch new content concepts and help shape our storytelling strategy.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on social media metrics and performance. Use insights to adjust strategy and maximize reach and engagement.
  • Content Planning: Create and maintain a social media calendar, ensuring timely promotion of events, workshops, and community initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience:1+ years in social media management, content creation, or communications, preferably in the food, culture, or lifestyle industries. 
  • Creativity: Strong creative skills with the ability to develop unique ideas and engaging content.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with essential digital marketing tools (Google Ads, SEO, Mailchimp, etc.) and basic front-end tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.). 
  • Writing Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a knack for crafting captivating captions and stories.
  • Social Media Expertise: Deep understanding of current trends, social media best practices, and platforms (especially Instagram, Tiktok).
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze digital marketing and backend data, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions to optimize content and campaigns.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Team Player: Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a small, passionate team.
